Disposal

We aim to recycle all the appliances that we receive, to off-set the impact that our new disposable society has on the environment, but sometimes they are beyond repair, and that is not possible.

In these instances we will dispose of them, this is a free service for all appliances except fridges and freezers; because of the gas they contain, for which there is a £10 charge as they have to be environmentally decommissioned by an accredited company; we use a local company called Waste Care.

All other appliances will have their salvagable parts removed to be reused, before being given to a scrap dealer, who will recycle as much of the appliance as possible.
